Young people in Grade 2 (or older), with their family's support, are invited to celebrate their First Reconciliation (Confession) and their First Communion this year.
Celebrating a Sacrament for the first time is an important step in the life of your child as a Catholic Christian. This year, your child will continue their faith journey in a very special way. It is a time of growth and understanding of how much mercy and love Jesus has for us.
This year is a little different (you know, a pandemic), but we are here to support you and your family. You are welcome to register for First Reconciliation and First Communion at any time. Each sacrament has it's own online sacramental preparation program. Once your child has completed the online First Reconciliation preparation, their Reconciliation date will be scheduled. Then when your child completes the online First Communion preparation, their First Communion date will be scheduled with you.
For your children's First Reconciliation, we will be asking that you and your child spend some time together preparing in the coming weeks using our online preparation website. You will work together through a guided program, at your own pace, and we will provide the supplies you need to make it fun.
We will get to that after you register, but we want you to know that the preparation information that follows your registration is important so you and your child can prepare for this amazing Sacrament... and make it an exciting time for them and you!
If you are registering in September 2021, we will focus on the Sacrament of Reconciliation this fall and we will connect with you in early 2022 about next steps for your child's First Communion.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email our Pastoral Minister, Betty Hompoth at [email protected]
Here is our commitment to keep you and your family safe on the day of your child’s First Reconciliation:
