Maybe you have been scrolling through pages and pages of black squares right now on social media. As a church, we stand with all our Black brothers and sisters.
Racism is not new. The death of George Floyd has reminded us of the work that still needs to happen. Maybe it's made you feel sad, heavy, uncomfortable, or wanting to do something. Maybe it’s made you angry or confused.
We are not perfect. We are not experts. We continue to listen and continue to learn. We don’t know all the answers to systemic racism. But we also cannot be silent.
We pray for a new Pentecost. We pray that the Holy Spirit removes all fear and opens our hearts to a greater understanding of privilege, justice, and peace.
