Deacon Rick has been a member of Good Shepherd Parish (formerly St Gregory the Great) since 1981 when he and wife Mary moved to Tecumseh. Mary grew up in Tecumseh and has been a lifelong member of Good Shepherd Parish. Mary and Rick have four grown children and one grandson. Rick is retired from the City of Windsor Public Works Department where he served for 34 years.
 
Rick was ordained a permanent deacon in November 2013. His service includes hospital visits, a member of the Hospice Spiritual Care Team, a facilitator of the parish bereavement group and a visitor to the home-bound and nursing home-bound parishioners who can no longer attend mass on a regular basis. He has also been involved with the local charity Hearts Together for Haiti since 2000.
