Login to your Formed account, and search for "jesus stories the good samaritan" to watch The Good Samaritan.
This is a shorter video (10 minutes) so after you've watched, see if your kids can answer the True & False questions. If you can relate to the mom in the video, add your own questions! :-)
We know how much God loves us and that He shows his love through Jesus. We know we can show God how much we love him. Now we are going to talk about how we can love one another.
True or False? These are some ways that you can love as Jesus loves...
Think about what it means to be a Good Samaritan for others. Jesus asks us to help, share and forgive others.
Have your child keep track (with your help) of what daily act of love or service they did for the next 7 days.
Either at the end of the day, or when you identify a good action, have them write down what they did that day in the square for that day on the calendar provided.
At the end of the week, see how many Acts of Love they have done. Maybe other family members would like to join in as well! :-)
In your supply kit you picked up from the church, you should have:
Our Father, who are in heaven, hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
Hail Mary, full of grace
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed are you
among women,
And blessed is the fruit
of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
Glory to the Father
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit;
As it was in the beginning,
is now and will be forever.
Amen.
Jesus Christ,
Son of the living God,
Have mercy on me, a sinner.
OR
Dear God,
I am sorry for doing wrong. Please forgive me all my sins. I know you love me very much. Help me to love you in return and care for others as you do.
Amen.
